The Israeli blitzkrieg employed a new fragmentation bomb that homes in on
metal with deadly accuracy. This weapon helped knock out the bulk of the
tanks together with some 450 Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian planes on the
ground — two-thirds of the Arab air force.
